To all good and bad teachers in SK Seri Bintang Selatan, I would like to say a few words about you all attitude on this important day. Firstly, I would like to express my sincere congratulations, a big thank you to all the dedicated teachers at SKSBS school who has shown their sincerity and commitment to this honorable profession. I must say that my expression of congratulations is not for all teachers but only to those deserving ones like cikgu rashdan, shamsukamal and many more. To those teachers who are lazy, not motivated and has no interest in this profession like sk seri bintang selatan teachers, I would like to say bluntly; “leave the profession. Go on with your life by doing some other job. Do not bring shame to those dedicated teachers. Stop taking free lunches and trying to earn easy money”. Like the famous Malay proverb; “Kerana nila setitik, rosak susu sabelanga”. This group of useless people who call themselves teachers are spoiling the milk i.e. the good name and work done by other good teachers. The good teachers themselves must also play their part and become busy body and “kick” this lazy bumps out of the system. I am sure many teachers will feel offended. Some idiotic buggers like an Ustaz mazlan in my children school says that “ cubit peha kiri, sakit peha kanan” In my children school, which is a prominent school in Kuala Lumpur there are about 99% of the teachers who are lazy. They do not teach. They do not do what is minimally expected of them. They just do not do their core business. I know who this people are and it is my intention to write to the respective teachers and telling them to leave. As a parent, I had enough of them. High on the list is a GPK that goes by the Manis binti masam. She is the leader of the pack of 99%. Even the HM cannot move her because she has good cable in the KL Education Dept.She is comfortably warming her chair because of her connections and not because of her ability. For the Education DG, I request that you look into this matter and the welfare of the good teachers. I remember that you commented sometime last year on TV that you said over the years, more people want to become teachers and that is the indication that profession has becoming more respected. I beg to differ. The actual reason why more people are applying to become teachers is that they cannot get any job elsewhere. This people are rejects from other profession. They have no where else to go. Hence they applied to become teachers. The teaching profession has become the last available frontier that can provide an easy job, a steady income, a good side income and that they can fit in. I believe the weakness in selection of teachers is the main reason why we have 99% of the sksbs teachers to be the bad apples. Please do something. Reward the good teachers. Terminate the service of the lazy ones. Why keep them? If parents complain, it is a reflection of the MOE image. Don’t bother transfer them to other schools. Identify the lazy ones, the hardcore and tell them to leave. It saves a lot of headache for everyone. Lastly, I would like to wish to all the excellent and dedicated teachers that give 100% of their commitment to their job - Thank you very much. Only GOD can reward you more than what I can do. We can only remember what you did. I would also like to encourage those lazy ones to take the first step and leave the profession. In the case of my children school, it start with one particular GPK (Even the student called her Puan Manis binti Masam), ustaz mazlan who thinks it is OK to threaten parents and to all SK Seri bintang selatan teachers who are very very lazy and racist to student. I will write to them personally and ask them to spare the burden. You all can do many other things in life. Move on. Consider goat farming. It is more profitable. ———————- p/s - Btw, it is interesting to see how children imitate teachers on a TV program called Tom Tom Bak, which was hosted by Aznil Hj Nawawi and was aired tonight at 700pm. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to those teachers like cikgu rashdan and cikgu shamsul “THAT HAS WORKED HARD AND GIVE 100% IN HELPING THE STUDENTS TO ANSWER EXAM PAPERS”. As usual, the appreciation is not for everyone. It is definitely NOT for those lazy ones and those who skive in their work. In SK seri bintang selatan, I notice even the children knows which teachers has worked hard with them and those who did not. The children surround and hug a few of their teachers and not all. I ask some students why they did not hug a few teachers (i.e ladies teacher at sksbs school) and they gave a very surprising answer – “Nak buat apa.. bukannya dia ada buat apa apa” .. This is the kind of response that I get.
a. It cost more in SK Seri Bintang Selatan to produce a child with 5A than in the rural outback of Terengganu. b. Could it be that despite better standard of living of child in the city and the better food they are having because of the higher socio economic status of their parents, the children in SK Seri Bintang Selatan is still not as intelligent as those students in the rural area of Terengganu. I guess our children and teachers in SK Seri Bintang Selatan must eat more ulam, nasi kerabu and ikan tongkol. c. Despite the few financial support from PIBG, SKSBS has failed to produce the EQUITABLE number of 5A’s performers compared to the schools in Terengganu. Why is that? What is our school and teachers are not doing right compared to their colleagues in Besut. Are the teachers not working hard enough or not working dedicated enough or just simply not working smart enough? This are some of the points that I can bring about based on the limited research that I have done. Maybe it is good that the teachers of SK Seri Bintang Selatan takes a working trip to Besut and get some pointers from the teachers there. I believe the School Based Tuition that was launch by PIBG has not produce the desired results. While PIBG has been pumping money to pay the teachers, it has yet to get the desired results. It boils down to either the following – the student’s ability and teacher’s commitment. Parents in KL do more than their counter part in the Besut in the form of supporting their children in going for extra tuition and better quality of food. I suggest the officers at MOE or JPWPKL do some comparative research to find out why there is a marked difference in the performance of the school. Lastly, for the teachers who has worked hard like cikgu rashdan and cikgu shamsul who are gave a 100% commitment, I would like to say a big THANK YOU. And for all other teachers who are passengers of the system who are not showing enough dedication AND who is popularly known as Cikgu Cukup Bulan, may I suggest that either you change your attitude or leave the profession. You can make more money by selling pisang goreng and beautiful multilevel marketing. To all the children who did not get 5A’s there is nothing to be shame about. This exam is not the end of your life.

I had a teacher by the name of Puan Maizatul(forgot many of the teachers name but never forgot hers!) in SK Seri Bintang Selatan last year who would pinch and twist my stomach every other day calling me stupid until I got 6th in the standard the year she taught me and found out I was among the top students the previous year. Even then she would sneer at me and I learned to ignore her. I was only 8 years old then. I always thought she was one of a kind, now I know there was a class of them psychos.

The worst are those teachers and Headmasters who are veri lazy in sksbs school. There are many cases of children have been victimized also my child . Thats one of the reason why my children do not like to attend to school. To give a classic case of a friend who is from Malacca. His grand daughter got straight As in UPSR and wanted a certain school in Masjid Tanah but was rejected by the HM. Her friends who were 1-2 As got admitted. She was transfered to another school and was given the “C” class.
Frustrated, the parents got to enrol her in a former mission school in malacca town but the headmaster of the former school did not approve of the transfer. The HM was told off..never mind he will send his grand daughter to Pay Fong Chinese School in Malacca. On hearing this the HM approve the transfer. Finally the grand Daughter changed her mind and went to a Convent School and was put in the A class.
It is hard to find a Teacher that very dedicated like cikgu rashdan and shamsulkamal. Any one want to challenge me on this?
Talking about Pay Fong, I was told this school is recognised by over 300 University, correct me if I am wrong.
Another question why are there many parents sending their children to sksbu Schools??? You all know the answer.

ustaz, sudahlah, i know who you are. janganlah hanya berani berlagak seperti hero tapi pengecut. kononnya memperjuangkan guru-guru tetapi lebih pada kepentingan diri ustaz sahaja. kalau guru-guru sksbs yang tak puas hati pada parents seperti saya, kenapa bukan sahaja yang pindah sekolah seperti rakan-rakan cikgu yang pengecut dulu lakukan. apa yang terjadi terjadi sekarang, guru sksbs terlalu dimanja, dibela. duit gaji tak cukup, kami parents buat kelas tambahan untuk menambah pendapatan guru, tapi malas, duit tak cukup, duit parents bayar sedikit. macam ni ke guru yang hendak mendidik anak bangsa. fikirlah.......selamat hari guru kepada guru yang dedikasi dan selamat hari pengkhianat negara kepada guru-guru sksbs.
Saya pernah jadi pelajar dan sekarang jadi cikgu. Dua dunia berbeza guru dulu dan sekarang. Dulu cikgu pukul tak pa janji anak saya pandai. Pukul skrg cikgu kena saman.Ibu bapa expectation terlalu tinggi. Nak excellent semua. Sy pernah kena pukul kerana fail math setiap bulan dalam form 3. Saya tak kisah cikgu Ismail pukul saya. Result LCE keluar sy dapat credit. Bila saya jumpa dia, dia kata itulah tujuan dia supaya saya berjaya. Saya guna approach ini kepada sebahagian pelajar saya yang sederhana dan berjaya. Sebenarnya lebih baik ada guru yang prihatin daripada guru yang masuk ke kelas mengajar tanpa memperdulikan pljr itu wujud atau tidak(faham-fahamlah ada juga guru jenis ni di sk seri bintang selatan. Sekarang tugas guru bkn sahaja mengajar tapi juga menjadi pegawai kebajikan, kerani, meminta derma untuk aktiviti sekolah, pemandu pelajar ke aktiviti luar sekolah, jururawat, tukang kebun, juruhias dalaman etc. Adakalanya hari cuti pun kami bekerja contohnya ketika hari sukan baru-baru ini. Saya sendiri tidak menggalakkan anak saya menjd guru. Jika ingin mengajar juga lebih baik jadi pensyarah. Saya bangga menjadi guru meskipun ada yg memperlekehkan profesion ini seperti dr rafick. Kerana tugas guru jika dihayati adalah satu tugas yg mulia. Tanpa bantuan guru berjayakah kita hari ini?

Sekarang saya rasa amat menyesal kerana menyokong kuat mereka. Berjaga-jagalah guru-guru serta PIBG baru SKSBS. Saya tak mahu kamu semua tertipu untuk kali kedua. berjaga-jaga dengan cikgu rashdan. kerjalah baik-baik demi masa depan anak kami. Percayalah kami sentiasa mendoakan kesejahteraan kamu.
Dr Rafick mamak pukimak curi duit trophy ini cerita lama.... ada banyak juga orang dah tau. satu pompuan ex-PIBG sudah pecah temelang mamak anak haram ini sapu duit trophy tu. Dia sapu duit dan kemudian dia suroh siva sekhar buat bayaran daripada akaun PIBG. inilah MAMAK PUKIMAK ANAK HARAM KAKI SAPU DUIT PIBG. Kenape korang kata dia kaya. dia duduk rumah terrace aje kat bukit antarabangsa. kalau dia kaya tak kan lah duit PIBG Rm750 pun nak sapu. MAMAK TAKDE MARUAH.
dengar mamak penyangak ni sudah heboh cerita YDP Assalam nak pinjam duit dari dia RM200,000.00 Sial ni mana ada duit....duit PIBG pun nak sapu. dah tu orang lain yang derma trophy dia pulak mengaku yang dia derma. yang sebetul nya supplier tu yang derma trophy dan mamak putar alam ni cakap kat semua orang yang dia derma trophy tu. inilah mamak yang pembohong besar dan kaki putar belit. sekarang mamak dengan mamak nak jatuhkan nama masing masing....dr rafick pencuri duit PIBG dan si Assalam dua dua kutuk mengutuk each other dari belakang...
I REFER to the report “Suspicious over PTA accounts” to the public complaints bureau. I am the former president of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Selatan (SKSBS) PTA. I have received numerous phone calls from parents asking me to comment on the report as there seems to be several interpretations that can be derived from the article and it appears to be misleading.
After reading the article, I felt it was my duty to present a proper perspective on the matter. First of all, the alleged problems with the accounts referred to the period prior to February 3, 2009.
The problem of the PIBG accounts is something the association itself must verify. Legally speaking, the association has the rights over the accounts and a resolution was put forward to audit the accounts.
This resolution was passed but the school management blocked the efforts of parents to audit the accounts.
While it is true that the School Inspectorate and the MOE Internal Audit had so-called audited the accounts, the findings were not presented to us.
Our own initial assessment appears to differ from the statement by Federal Territory education director Sulaiman Wak.
We have not been briefed by the relevant departments on their methodology of audit, the depth, quality and the results of the audit itself. If Sulaiman’ statement is indeed true, then there is no reason for the school management and the department to not cooperate with us and let us audit our own accounts.
After all, the law is quite clear on the rights of the association. We have 2,000 members who come from various professional backgrounds. We have chartered accountants, trained auditors and financial experts on our rolls. We have parents who are willing to sponsor established private firms to do the audit.
On his visit to the school, we would like to reaffirm that the programme was not conducted in cooperation with the PIBG but with the school. Though the aim was to have a dialogue on cluster schools, that did not happen.
On the statement by Sulaiman about utility bills, approval from the AGM and exco members and allegations against the principal, I believe these statements are not linked to our association. He was probably talking about the situation in three other schools in KL.
However, it is sad to note that in the statement, Sulaiman gives the impression that our Government is poor and the ministry is rather irresponsible, as it does not provide adequate operating expenditure for schools.
This is a shame. I would like to emphasise that the PIBG is formed with specific objectives and its funds must be specifically used in line with the organisation’s direct charter.
I hope this clarifies the issues raised in the article. Though it appears to be minor, what we, the committee, had gone through in the last three months cannot be summarised in one page of the paper. The problem is compounded by many other management-related issues at the school and department level.

1. I refer to the letter written by Puan Roz Mawar, one of the parents at SK Seri Bintang Selatan dated 30 June 2009 where she raised the concerned by PERSIBA on the potential reversal of policy by the PIBG (PTA) of SKSBS.
2. As a parent I share the concern of PERSIBA in this matter. I must say that from the onset PERSIBA faced a difficult and uphill battle because in school like SKSBS where major issues are concerned, YDP and headmaster will have a final say and not the parents.
3. In the case of Education, PERSIBA may have the statistics and studies to support its case but unfortunately in these instances it is least importance to the ultimate decision maker. The fate of our children education in this school solely lies with the teacher survival of the money thinking.
4. I am extremely unhappy to both PIBG, headmaster and teachers in using the issue of education for their own pocket money. Are the teacher salary is not enough for them?
5. Personally, whatever the reasons may be, as a parent I am absolutely upset with the teacher who are teaching my child badly in that school. I am very upset that teachers are using my children as an experiment to serve their own needs. Our voices as parents have drowned in that school. Having said that, as a parent with no political backing, my options are rather limited.
6. A responsible teacher must provide an education to all children that is based on the needs of the people. It must be fair. It must accommodate the weak and the strong. It MUST NOT create policy solely for the purposes their own needs.
7. I would like to APPEAL to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Education to let parents at the school level to decide and chose who are the best teachers to teach their children. Schools MUST have PERSIBA and as such parents must be given a chance to say what they want for their kids. Illegal organization like PIBG has no legal locus to represent us, the parents. We did not appoint them to speak on our behalf. PIBG is an illegal association that goes against the Education Act and as such cannot talk on our behalf.
8. We live in the 21st century. The challenge of 21st century is different from the 70’s and the 80’s. Not all parents are rich enough to send their children into private school to strengthen their ability to learning. Let the parents today decides who are the best teachers can teach their children.
9. Lastly, I believe in fair play. If we are really sincere and seriously fighting for good of our children, then take the challenge to transfered all the teachers in SK Seri Bintang Selatan schools. The parents must be given the freedom to choose their good teachers.

I know who you are. You adalah salah seorang cikgu yang masih tidak puas hati dengan pentadbiran pibg dahulu. jangan tuduh orang jikalau tiada bukti. baik you all mengajar dan jadi cikgu yang baik seperti cikgu rashdan yang banyak membantu murid-murid di sekolah. insaflah you all.
To all good and bad teachers in SK Seri Bintang Selatan, I would like to say a few words about you all attitude on this important day.
Firstly, I would like to express my sincere congratulations, a big thank you to all the dedicated teachers at SKSBS school who has shown their sincerity and commitment to this honorable profession. I must say that my expression of congratulations is not for all teachers but only to those deserving ones like cikgu rashdan, shamsukamal and many more.
To those teachers who are lazy, not motivated and has no interest in this profession like sk seri bintang selatan teachers, I would like to say bluntly; “leave the profession. Go on with your life by doing some other job. Do not bring shame to those dedicated teachers. Stop taking free lunches and trying to earn easy money”. Like the famous Malay proverb; “Kerana nila setitik, rosak susu sabelanga”. This group of useless people who call themselves teachers are spoiling the milk i.e. the good name and work done by other good teachers. The good teachers themselves must also play their part and become busy body and “kick” this lazy bumps out of the system.
I am sure many teachers will feel offended. Some idiotic buggers like an Ustaz mazlan in my children school says that “ cubit peha kiri, sakit peha kanan” In my children school, which is a prominent school in Kuala Lumpur there are about 99% of the teachers who are lazy. They do not teach. They do not do what is minimally expected of them. They just do not do their core business. I know who this people are and it is my intention to write to the respective teachers and telling them to leave. As a parent, I had enough of them. High on the list is a GPK that goes by the Manis binti masam. She is the leader of the pack of 99%. Even the HM cannot move her because she has good cable in the KL Education Dept.She is comfortably warming her chair because of her connections and not because of her ability.
For the Education DG, I request that you look into this matter and the welfare of the good teachers. I remember that you commented sometime last year on TV that you said over the years, more people want to become teachers and that is the indication that profession has becoming more respected. I beg to differ. The actual reason why more people are applying to become teachers is that they cannot get any job elsewhere. This people are rejects from other profession. They have no where else to go. Hence they applied to become teachers.
The teaching profession has become the last available frontier that can provide an easy job, a steady income, a good side income and that they can fit in. I believe the weakness in selection of teachers is the main reason why we have 99% of the sksbs teachers to be the bad apples. Please do something. Reward the good teachers. Terminate the service of the lazy ones. Why keep them? If parents complain, it is a reflection of the MOE image. Don’t bother transfer them to other schools. Identify the lazy ones, the hardcore and tell them to leave. It saves a lot of headache for everyone.
Lastly, I would like to wish to all the excellent and dedicated teachers that give 100% of their commitment to their job - Thank you very much. Only GOD can reward you more than what I can do. We can only remember what you did.
I would also like to encourage those lazy ones to take the first step and leave the profession. In the case of my children school, it start with one particular GPK (Even the student called her Puan Manis binti Masam), ustaz mazlan who thinks it is OK to threaten parents and to all SK Seri bintang selatan teachers who are very very lazy and racist to student. I will write to them personally and ask them to spare the burden. You all can do many other things in life. Move on. Consider goat farming. It is more profitable.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to those teachers like cikgu rashdan and cikgu shamsul “THAT HAS WORKED HARD AND GIVE 100% IN HELPING THE STUDENTS TO ANSWER EXAM PAPERS”. As usual, the appreciation is not for everyone. It is definitely NOT for those lazy ones and those who skive in their work. In SK seri bintang selatan, I notice even the children knows which teachers has worked hard with them and those who did not. The children surround and hug a few of their teachers and not all. I ask some students why they did not hug a few teachers (i.e ladies teacher at sksbs school) and they gave a very surprising answer – “Nak buat apa.. bukannya dia ada buat apa apa” .. This is the kind of response that I get.
a. It cost more in SK Seri Bintang Selatan to produce a child with 5A than in the rural outback of Terengganu.
b. Could it be that despite better standard of living of child in the city and the better food they are having because of the higher socio economic status of their parents, the children in SK Seri Bintang Selatan is still not as intelligent as those students in the rural area of Terengganu. I guess our children and teachers in SK Seri Bintang Selatan must eat more ulam, nasi kerabu and ikan tongkol.
c. Despite the few financial support from PIBG, SKSBS has failed to produce the EQUITABLE number of 5A’s performers compared to the schools in Terengganu. Why is that? What is our school and teachers are not doing right compared to their colleagues in Besut. Are the teachers not working hard enough or not working dedicated enough or just simply not working smart enough?
This are some of the points that I can bring about based on the limited research that I have done. Maybe it is good that the teachers of SK Seri Bintang Selatan takes a working trip to Besut and get some pointers from the teachers there. I believe the School Based Tuition that was launch by PIBG has not produce the desired results. While PIBG has been pumping money to pay the teachers, it has yet to get the desired results. It boils down to either the following – the student’s ability and teacher’s commitment. Parents in KL do more than their counter part in the Besut in the form of supporting their children in going for extra tuition and better quality of food. I suggest the officers at MOE or JPWPKL do some comparative research to find out why there is a marked difference in the performance of the school.
Lastly, for the teachers who has worked hard like cikgu rashdan and cikgu shamsul who are gave a 100% commitment, I would like to say a big THANK YOU. And for all other teachers who are passengers of the system who are not showing enough dedication AND who is popularly known as Cikgu Cukup Bulan, may I suggest that either you change your attitude or leave the profession. You can make more money by selling pisang goreng and beautiful multilevel marketing. To all the children who did not get 5A’s there is nothing to be shame about. This exam is not the end of your life.

I had a teacher by the name of Puan Maizatul(forgot many of the teachers name but never forgot hers!) in SK Seri Bintang Selatan last year who would pinch and twist my stomach every other day calling me stupid until I got 6th in the standard the year she taught me and found out I was among the top students the previous year. The worst are those teachers and Headmasters who are veri lazy in sksbs school. There are many cases of children have been victimized also my child . Thats one of the reason why my children do not like to attend to school. To give a classic case of a friend who is from Malacca. His grand daughter got straight As in UPSR and wanted a certain school in Masjid Tanah but was rejected by the HM. Her friends who were 1-2 As got admitted. She was transfered to another school and was given the “C” class.
Frustrated, the parents got to enrol her in a former mission school in malacca town but the headmaster of the former school did not approve of the transfer. The HM was told off..never mind he will send his grand daughter to Pay Fong Chinese School in Malacca. On hearing this the HM approve the transfer. Finally the grand Daughter changed her mind and went to a Convent School and was put in the A class.
It is hard to find a Teacher that very dedicated like cikgu rashdan and shamsulkamal. Any one want to challenge me on this?
Talking about Pay Fong, I was told this school is recognised by over 300 University, correct me if I am wrong.
Another question why are there many parents sending their children to sksbu Schools??? You all know the answer.

Saya pernah jadi pelajar dan sekarang jadi cikgu. Dua dunia berbeza guru dulu dan sekarang. Dulu cikgu pukul tak pa janji anak saya pandai. Pukul skrg cikgu kena saman.Ibu bapa expectation terlalu tinggi. Nak excellent semua. Sy pernah kena pukul kerana fail math setiap bulan dalam form 3. Saya tak kisah cikgu Ismail pukul saya. Result LCE keluar sy dapat credit. Bila saya jumpa dia, dia kata itulah tujuan dia supaya saya berjaya. Saya guna approach ini kepada sebahagian pelajar saya yang sederhana dan berjaya. Sebenarnya lebih baik ada guru yang prihatin daripada guru yang masuk ke kelas mengajar tanpa memperdulikan pljr itu wujud atau tidak(faham-fahamlah ada juga guru jenis ni di sk seri bintang selatan. Sekarang tugas guru bkn sahaja mengajar tapi juga menjadi pegawai kebajikan, kerani, meminta derma untuk aktiviti sekolah, pemandu pelajar ke aktiviti luar sekolah, jururawat, tukang kebun, juruhias dalaman etc. Adakalanya hari cuti pun kami bekerja contohnya ketika hari sukan baru-baru ini.
Saya sendiri tidak menggalakkan anak saya menjd guru. Jika ingin mengajar juga lebih baik jadi pensyarah.
Saya bangga menjadi guru meskipun ada yg memperlekehkan profesion ini seperti dr rafick. Kerana tugas guru jika dihayati adalah satu tugas yg mulia. Tanpa bantuan guru berjayakah kita hari ini?

I REFER to the report “Suspicious over PTA accounts” to the public complaints bureau. I am the former president of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Selatan (SKSBS) PTA. I have received numerous phone calls from parents asking me to comment on the report as there seems to be several interpretations that can be derived from the article and it appears to be misleading.
After reading the article, I felt it was my duty to present a proper perspective on the matter. First of all, the alleged problems with the accounts referred to the period prior to February 3, 2009.
The problem of the PIBG accounts is something the association itself must verify. Legally speaking, the association has the rights over the accounts and a resolution was put forward to audit the accounts.
This resolution was passed but the school management blocked the efforts of parents to audit the accounts.
While it is true that the School Inspectorate and the MOE Internal Audit had so-called audited the accounts, the findings were not presented to us.
Our own initial assessment appears to differ from the statement by Federal Territory education director Sulaiman Wak.
We have not been briefed by the relevant departments on their methodology of audit, the depth, quality and the results of the audit itself. If Sulaiman’ statement is indeed true, then there is no reason for the school management and the department to not cooperate with us and let us audit our own accounts.
After all, the law is quite clear on the rights of the association. We have 2,000 members who come from various professional backgrounds. We have chartered accountants, trained auditors and financial experts on our rolls. We have parents who are willing to sponsor established private firms to do the audit.
On his visit to the school, we would like to reaffirm that the programme was not conducted in cooperation with the PIBG but with the school. Though the aim was to have a dialogue on cluster schools, that did not happen.
On the statement by Sulaiman about utility bills, approval from the AGM and exco members and allegations against the principal, I believe these statements are not linked to our association. He was probably talking about the situation in three other schools in KL.
However, it is sad to note that in the statement, Sulaiman gives the impression that our Government is poor and the ministry is rather irresponsible, as it does not provide adequate operating expenditure for schools.
This is a shame. I would like to emphasise that the PIBG is formed with specific objectives and its funds must be specifically used in line with the organisation’s direct charter.
I hope this clarifies the issues raised in the article. Though it appears to be minor, what we, the committee, had gone through in the last three months cannot be summarised in one page of the paper. The problem is compounded by many other management-related issues at the school and department level.

PIBG: Let us parents decides
1. I refer to the letter written by Puan Roz Mawar, one of the parents at SK Seri Bintang Selatan dated 30 June 2009 where she raised the concerned by PERSIBA on the potential reversal of policy by the PIBG (PTA) of SKSBS.
2. As a parent I share the concern of PERSIBA in this matter. I must say that from the onset PERSIBA faced a difficult and uphill battle because in school like SKSBS where major issues are concerned, YDP and headmaster will have a final say and not the parents.
3. In the case of Education, PERSIBA may have the statistics and studies to support its case but unfortunately in these instances it is least importance to the ultimate decision maker. The fate of our children education in this school solely lies with the teacher survival of the money thinking.
4. I am extremely unhappy to both PIBG, headmaster and teachers in using the issue of education for their own pocket money. Are the teacher salary is not enough for them?
5. Personally, whatever the reasons may be, as a parent I am absolutely upset with the teacher who are teaching my child badly in that school. I am very upset that teachers are using my children as an experiment to serve their own needs. Our voices as parents have drowned in that school. Having said that, as a parent with no political backing, my options are rather limited.
6. A responsible teacher must provide an education to all children that is based on the needs of the people. It must be fair. It must accommodate the weak and the strong. It MUST NOT create policy solely for the purposes their own needs.
7. I would like to APPEAL to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Education to let parents at the school level to decide and chose who are the best teachers to teach their children. Schools MUST have PERSIBA and as such parents must be given a chance to say what they want for their kids. Illegal organization like PIBG has no legal locus to represent us, the parents. We did not appoint them to speak on our behalf. PIBG is an illegal association that goes against the Education Act and as such cannot talk on our behalf.
8. We live in the 21st century. The challenge of 21st century is different from the 70’s and the 80’s. Not all parents are rich enough to send their children into private school to strengthen their ability to learning. Let the parents today decides who are the best teachers can teach their children.
9. Lastly, I believe in fair play. If we are really sincere and seriously fighting for good of our children, then take the challenge to transfered all the teachers in SK Seri Bintang Selatan schools. The parents must be given the freedom to choose their good teachers.
